First of all…
The Oscar betting game is very simple, it doesn't hurt anyone and, as always, there's nothing great to be won, except that the winner will be showered with fame and glory.
The Betting Game
The betting game On this page you will find the complete list of nominations for the upcoming Academy Awards, the Oscars. As you look through the list, you may find that some of the categories and films you have never seen or heard of before. But that's not a problem, because this betting game is all about having fun. The more people who take part, the more fun it will be.
The Nominees
For each category you will find the nominees, trailers and links where you can watch the film if you wish. This will give you an overview of the different categories and help you make your decision. Of course, you can always just go with your gut.
Your Entry
Simply complete the prediction list using the drop-down menus, enter your personal details in the fields provided and click on ‘Submit’ at the end. You're already in the betting game.
You have until 11:59 p.m. on March 2, 2025. (GMT)
If you want to change your prediction, it's no problem: go back to the prediction and submit a new, fully completed list. The most recent list will be taken into account.
The Winners
Each correctly predicted Oscar winner is worth one point, which will be added up in three different categories.
The glamour category is the real reason people care about the Oscars in the first place. The four acting categories and the Best Picture category are added together here.
All the other categories make up the Cineaste category, which is the category for real film critics and film lovers.
Both categories together make up the supreme discipline, the Hollywood Expert category.
The winner is the one with the most points in one of the three categories. Quite simple really.
The Results
Depending on your level of fatigue, the scoring will be done more or less quickly.
The winners of each category will be notified by e-mail the following day. The full results will also be published on the website.
